OXUM was founded by Misha – born in 1994 and raised and shaped by a lifetime of travel, family tradition, and craftsmanship. Her work celebrates honest materials, quiet symbolism, and pieces meant to be worn every day.

My love for jewellery began as a child, captivated by stones, charms, and the women I met on our travels—their arms draped in silver bangles, henna staining their hands, ankles chiming with every step. There was something sacred in how they carried their stories in what they wore.I grew up watching artisans in India craft jewellery on the floor with simple tools—no pretension, just playfulness and deep respect for the process. That ethos stayed with me. At OXUM, I blend that spirit with the lesson passed down through generations in my family: "Everything worth doing is worth doing well."

The name OXUM honors the goddess of gold, fresh waters, and the moon—a tribute to the feminine energy that inspires me, to my mother, who every day teaches me to approach the world with nurture, and to my father, who taught me to see the world through its hidden connections and corners. This spirit lives in our Copenhagen shop, where jungle greens and raw materials blur the line between studio and sanctuary.
I’m mostly self-taught, and my process is highly intuitive, sometimes chaotic—a dance between stubborn materials and the meditative focus of shaping them into something that could outlast me. What excites me most is the physical act of creation: taking an idea from my mind and forging it into something real, something that carries protection and possibility for the wearer.
